Carl also previously held designations as a Business Valuation expert ("CPA/ABV") from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and as a Certified Valuation Analyst ("CVA") from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.  As such, he had ten years of experience in appraising small to middle-market companies in numerous industries, preparing business valuations for estate and gift tax planning, income tax planning, buy/sell transactions, and litigation purposes.

After graduating from California State University at Northridge, Carl became a Tax Partner at Braverman Codron LLP, a large, local Beverly Hills accounting firm.  His practice during his 25 years with the firm focused on the areas of tax planning, tax preparation, estate planning, and consulting with individuals, companies and their owners.  Carl also established and managed the firm's business valuation division, managed its technology consulting practice, and was the co-practice leader of the firm's financial reporting division. 

Carl subsequently became both a Tax Partner and a Business Valuation Partner at Moss Adams LLP, the largest regional accounting firm on the West Coast and the 10th largest in the U.S.  He specialized in tax and business consulting to individual taxpayers, and small to middle-market companies in many different industries. Carl was also chosen by Moss Adams LLP to manage and develop its successful Southern California business valuation practice. 

After a successful career at Moss Adams LLP, Carl decided to develop his own firm, where he is dedicated to providing "professional, prompt, and truly personal service" to each and every one of his valued clients.

Carl is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the AICPA Tax Section.  He is also a former member of the Board of Directors and active member of the Universal City/North Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and a former member of the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce. Carl has written numerous articles on the subjects of tax planning and business valuations, and has spoken before various professional firms and organizations.

Carl and his wife, Stephanie, have two wonderful daughters, Lindsay and Amy, and a beautiful granddaughter named Akira. They also have two terrific dogs, Ziggy, and Zoey, who enjoy spending a great deal of time helping Carl in his office.
